The Earthen Construction Initiative (ECI) is a non-profit organization formed in San Antonio, Texas that has been organized exclusively for the education and scientific purposes of building with earthen materials. ECI Presents Series is a monthly informational presentation to advance and promote earthen construction. The September meeting is about the life cycle assessment (LCA) costs of earthen construction not only with relation to operational costs, but also the costs associated with the energy included in the construction materials and construction operations. UTSA student James Woods will also include a presentation on “off the grid” farming as a part of an Architecture Masters Project.
Meetings are held in the Bolner Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Urschel Admin. (Clock Tower) building. Please use entrance facing parking lot.
