Students from the University of Texas San Antonio College of Architecture (UTSA) and San Antonio College (SAC) —in coordination with the City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) —will participate in an annual service project called S.T.A.R. (Students Together Achieving Revitalization) to assist homeowners. For Fall 2018, we will be working in the Dignowity Hill Historic District.

The students will be lead by volunteer professionals to perform minor repairs and maintenance to the exterior of qualifying homes. Work may include repairs to wood windows, wood siding, and wood porches as well as general exterior yard maintenance and exterior painting.

Interested in providing your expertise and leadership for a S.T.A.R. house? The Office of Historic Preservation is seeking qualified contractors to perform maintenance and repairs during the event. Benefits include logos on all event collateral, yard signs during the event, social media promotion, and listing on the Rehabber Club Certified Contractors page.

If you would like to participate or recommend a contractor, please reply to this email or email info@sapreservation.com.

Additional information can be found on the City of San Antonio website, https://www.sanantonio.gov/historic/Programs/STAR.
