It's that time of the year again and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the CHC Historic Preservation Symposium and APT Texas Chapter Annual Meeting! The Center for Heritage Conservation at Texas A&M University has a wonderful line-up of speakers arranged for this years topic, Preserving African-American History in Texas. The 19th Annual Historic Preservation Symposium will take place on February 16-17, 2017. The keynote speaker on February 16 will be Everett L. Fly (MLA, FASLA, RA), an award-winning landscape architect, architect, preservationist, and recognized leader in the national effort to preserve the integrity of African American heritage, culture, and communities. Mr. Fly, a 2014 National Humanities Medalist, will speak on “African American History in Texas: Context for Preserving and Conserving Culture and Place.”
