Come join APT TX in discovering how Galveston recovered from the great 1900 storm. Galveston Hurricane Tour promotes exploration and discovery at the crossroads of science and history. The tour provides a comprehensive history of Galveston hurricanes, with a focus on historic impacts and scientific advances. This driving tour visits before-and-after sites from the 1900 Storm and Grade Raising, location of Galveston's Grade Raising canal, high water marks from five hurricanes, neighborhood of post-1900 commissary houses and site of the world's first televised weather radar broadcast. The goal of our explorations is applied science/ history, where lessons learned can be applied to life today and transform perspectives on tomorrow.

The tour is a little over $17 per person and is conducted from a 15-passenger van. Seats are limited so get your ticket from the EventBrite link (click here) today and we hope to see you there!
